How Quickly 2010 Arrived and made its mark!!!

The christmas tree is still sitting in the corner and Chinese New Year ang pows are appearing on our tables to be filled and shopping malls are playing Chinese New Year songs....I never felt i properly welcome in 2010 and already i feel so much have happened in the first 22 days of the year.....Whilst i never believe in makingNew Year Resolution i feel that this year i must at least make this year one of having make some significant contribution to some cause or to some peoples' life.
SO much is happening in the world and even in our own backyard. Crime still continues, now i ask kakak & Stephie to set the alarm even in the day time as the break-ins are happening in the day time....on the news we read about the going-ons in the country which really saddens me. However if we trust the Lord we can trust that HE is in control even if we don'tunderstand the whys of it.....We just need to be available when HE needs us to serve others that need us to make sense of all this insanity that's going on in our country......
Today we are eating in - pork chops, mashed potatoes with mushroom sauce, garlicky french beans and mushroom soup...inspired by a new place we tried out 2 wks ago called Betty midwestern in Aman Suria...the ribs, butt pork cooked a few hours in beer was just incredibly delicious.....

Catching Up over Great Food

I'm amaze i never knew the place called My Elephant. A great place for thai food. It's a thursday night yet the restaurant was packed with overflowing customer willing to wait to get a table at 9pm.

Trust Jennifer, she always know where good food is located. I had a good time catching up with friends from my CP days. KWT was back with her boyfriend and we had a good time catching up over some delicious food. The salt bake fish was really unusual and taste great. We had mushroom salad, tongyam (slurp!! i clear the bowl) green curry and oyster egg, tho'' i didn'ttast any oyster it was still good.

From there we adjourne to another place called 9 to 10 nasi lemak (the nasi lemak was sold out) to continue our chit chat over some tea tarik. We felt bad for those customer who were still waiting. Anyway It's amazing hw time flies and us now all ex CP, and yet those days have built a bond that stays......even for those that did not come we still caught up over the emails as we planned for the dinner....
